FEYY SET TO SHAKE THE NIGERIAN MUSIC SCENE WITH DEBUT EP “PEACE OF MIND”
Emerging Afro-soul artist Feyy, born Felicia Adefunmilayo Oluwafeyikemi Sodade in Lagos, Nigeria, and now based in Toronto, Canada, is poised to take the Nigerian music industry by storm with the release of her debut EP, “Peace of Mind.”
A dynamic fusion of West African vibrancy and Canadian calm, Feyy’s music is a reflection of her journey across continents. Relocating to Canada at the age of 17, she found comfort in songwriting during her Psychology studies at the University of Ottawa. What began as a form of personal healing soon evolved into a powerful musical expression rooted in vulnerability, strength, and truth.
“Peace of Mind” — a six-track EP crafted in collaboration with Nigerian producer Marcell Moon (Ugochukwu Obi) — explores themes of self-discovery, love, heartbreak, and spiritual awakening.
The title track, “Peace of Mind,” opens the project with raw introspection, setting a deeply emotional tone. This is followed by “Baby Yo” — a warm, romantic rhythm that expresses longing and affection. “Falling” captures the complexities of love, passion, and emotional uncertainty.
On “Save Us,” Feyy shifts to a broader spiritual narrative, delivering one of the project’s most resonant moments — a haunting reflection on faith, struggle, and collective healing. “Better Alone” turns heartbreak into power, while the final track “Moving On” serves as a confident declaration of release and rebirth.
Sonically, the EP blends Afro-soul, R&B, and poetic storytelling, creating a soundscape that feels both intimate and universally relatable. Each track contributes to the unfolding story of a young woman embracing her voice, her roots, and her emotional truth.
With Peace of Mind, Feyy not only introduces herself to the world but offers a healing soundtrack for anyone on a journey of self-reconnection.
