Hammerboi delivers raw emotion on “Ebose,” a haunting Afrobeats ballad that showcases his signature blend of traditional Ghanaian melodies.
Born in Accra but shaped by years in Nigeria’s bustling music scene, Hammerboi has carved a unique niche for himself across West Africa’s diverse soundscape.
His musical journey began with highlife influences from his grandfather’s vinyl collection, eventually evolving through hip-hop experimentation during his teenage years in Lagos.
“Ebose” represents Hammerboi’s most personal work yet, featuring sparse percussion that echoes traditional kpalongo rhythms while his vocals oscillate.
The track’s minimalist arrangement allows space for the underlying guitar riff to breathe, creating emotional depth without overwhelming the listener.
This is music that speaks to the diaspora’s longing for home. Give “Ebose” a listen and let its soulful resonance move you.
